Septal defect

A ventricular septal defect (VSD), a hole in the

heart, is a common heart defect that’s present

at birth. The hole (defect) occurs in the septum

that separates the heart’s lower chambers and

allows blood to pass from the left to the right

side of the heart.

Symptoms:

1. Shortness of breath

2. Fatigue

3. Swelling of legs, feet or abdomen

4. Stroke

5. Heart palpitation

6. Heart murmur
